Akela+ is a pack leader's toolkit — plan timed agendas, run meetings from a live cue view, and keep your ceremonies, activities, and pack details in one place. Free, and local-first: nothing leaves your phone unless you sign in.
Free on the App Store for iPhone. On Android? Akela+ is coming soon to Google Play.

You're a parent who said yes when no one else would. Now you're running meetings for 30 kids with zero professional training and tools built for a different era. Sound familiar?
Actual screenshots from the app — this is what you'll be tapping through on Thursday.

Built for the Thursday-night reality of running a Cub Scout pack — not for administrators.
Build an ordered list of meeting blocks — opening, awards, skits, announcements, closing — each with a title, planned duration, presenter, and notes. Export as PDF. Done in minutes.
Save your standard pack meeting structure as a template. Next month's agenda takes five minutes, not fifty. Tweak what's different, keep what works.
Full-screen view during the meeting. See the current segment, countdown timer, who's presenting, and what's next. Tap to advance. Screen stays on automatically.
A full library of rank advancement, crossover, and Arrow of Light ceremony scripts — ready to read aloud. Save personal copies, edit them, and build your own library.
Track which scouts get which awards at each meeting, check them off live during pack night, and keep a Scoutbook-ready record. No more scrambling the night before.
A browsable library of pack-meeting themes and activities you can drop straight into an agenda — plus save and edit your own.
Plan your whole pack year in one place. Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, campouts, recharters — add events, set dates, and link runbooks so nothing falls through the cracks.
Already keeping the calendar somewhere else? Paste an iCal link from Scoutbook Plus, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar and pull your events straight in. Re-import any time — Akela+ reconciles against what's already there instead of duplicating it, and shows you exactly what will change before anything happens.
Step-by-step planning runbooks for the big events — Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, recruitment night — with task lists that link to your pack calendar.
Track gear with a packable checklist, fill out your tour plan, and export everything as a PDF to share with parents and leaders before you leave.
Share an event with your pack and everyone can say whether they're coming. You get a running headcount for food and gear without chasing anyone down.
See exactly how your pack's public BeAScout listing will read — meeting day and time, fee, contact, and which fields show — built from the pack details you've already entered, with a copy button and a direct link to Organization Manager.
Invite your den leaders with a code, then share meetings, templates, calendars, campouts, activities, and ceremonies so everyone runs from the same plan. Sharing is per item — your personal stuff stays private until you choose to share it.
Talk to your co-leaders in the app instead of a group text nobody can search. Group conversations and announcement threads, live — new messages arrive without refreshing.
Everyone sets their name and role — Cubmaster, Den Leader, and so on — so chat and the member list show "Jane Smith · Den Leader" instead of a username. Per pack, and separate from your public community profile.
Record which den you're with — more than one if you've got scouts in different dens — and scope a conversation to a single den instead of messaging the whole pack. Akela+ asks once each spring whether it's still right, because dens advance at crossover.
No invite code? Look your pack up by unit number, town, or charter organization and ask to join — a leader approves before you see anything. Packs are unlisted by default, and a listing shows only the unit number, town, and charter org. Never your meeting address.
Sign in and your meetings, templates, calendar, campouts, activities, and ceremonies back up and sync automatically across your devices. Your data, on every phone you use.
Pre-written templates for meeting reminders, den leader prep notes, post-meeting recaps, and pack announcements — ready to customize, with your pack's details filled in automatically. Copy or share in seconds.
Generate a polished PDF welcome packet for new families — meeting schedule, dues, key contacts, uniform guide, and a customizable cover letter. Shareable in one tap.
Tighten up your meeting reminders and announcements with on-device AI polishing — private, nothing leaves your phone. (iPhone, iOS 26+)
Ceremony scripts, activities, meeting templates, and comms templates shared by real pack leaders. Submit your own, earn recognition on the leaderboard, and pull from a growing library the whole community builds together.
Don't start from a blank page. Browse full meeting templates built by other pack leaders, copy one into your own templates, and make it yours. No sign-in needed to look.
See what other leaders rated each script and activity so you can pick what actually works.
Quick in-app reference for the Guide to Safe Scouting rules you need at your fingertips.
Akela+ works fully without an account, and until you sign in your pack data never leaves your phone. Sign in only if you want cloud backup or a shared pack. No ads, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
When the meeting starts, flip to full-screen cue-card view. One segment fills the screen — what it is, who's running it, how long you have, and what your notes say. Tap to advance.
Akela+ is live on the App Store for iPhone, with Android coming soon to Google Play — and it's already grown well past the core meeting toolkit, with new features landing all the time. Here's what's up next, built one at a time, shaped by what leaders actually need.
My oldest son has been in Cub Scouts since he was a Lion. When our Cubmaster left, no one else stepped up, so I did.
I found myself building meeting rundowns, ceremony scripts, and pack resources from scratch every month, juggling files across different apps and folders. It drove me crazy. I wanted everything in one place.
Once I started building Akela+ for myself, I realized making it easier for me means making it easier for every pack leader, so we can spend less time on prep and more time on the reason we all said yes in the first place: the scouts.
